There's more than one reason to hire someone else to design or redecorate your space. It doesn't have to be because you don't know what you like and don't know how to put things together that will work. Many people do know what they like, and maybe they're still not sure how to make that work in their space, but taking the time to do it can be a huge stressor. We do it all the time for other, more common things; we hire a mechanic to perform an oil change, we hire a plumber to fix our leaky faucet, we even hire a stylist through subscription clothes services to buy us clothes! It's not necessarily because you don't know how or don't have taste - it's because hiring a professional makes our lives easier.
